Karen Summers
Executive Director
Karen has a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture from Clemson University and has worked in the industry for more than 25 years. After designing for an award-winning interiorscape firm in Atlanta, Karen came to the Golden Isles in 1990. At Sea Island, she was Projects Coordinator for the Cottage Landscape Department, then Horticulture Manager of the Residential and Resort Landscape Flower Department.
Establishing Coastal Bloomers has allowed Karen to be more hands-on with design and implementation. Karen takes special pride in collaborating with customers, and delights in making inspired choices for her clients and their surroundings.

Jennifer Ramsey George
Horticulturalist
Jenn has been a resident of the Golden Isles for over 13 years. She has a B.S. in Horticulture from Virginia Tech and has over 20 years of experience in landscape horticulture, specializing in garden design and ornamental plants.
Her experience in the field ranges from greenhouse management and public gardens horticulture to estate garden maintenance. She also enjoys floral design and garden photography.
