Owner
Karen has a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture from Clemson University and has worked in the industry for more than 40 years. After designing for an award-winning interiorscape firm in Atlanta, Karen came to the Golden Isles in 1990. At Sea Island, she was Projects Coordinator for the Cottage Landscape Department, then Horticulture Manager of the Residential and Resort Landscape Flower Department.
In 1998 Karen opened Coastal Bloomers, allowing her to be more hands-on with design and implementation. Karen takes special pride in collaborating with customers, and delights in making inspired choices for her clients and their surroundings.

Jennifer Ramsey George
Horticultural Account Manager
Jenn has been a resident of the Golden Isles for over 20 years. She has a B.S. in Horticulture from Virginia Tech and has over 30 years of experience in landscape horticulture, specializing in garden design and ornamental plants. Her experience in the field ranges from greenhouse management and public gardens horticulture to estate garden maintenance. She joined Coastal Bloomers in 2006.
She also enjoys floral design and garden photography.
Courtenay Kurlychek
Horticultural Account Manager
Courtenay is originally from Cape Cod, but has been living in the Golden Isles for the last decade. She has over 30 years of gardening experience and joined Coastal Bloomers in 2020. Working with clients to create seasonal color displays is her specialty.
